Colour Time Print + Digital Imaging (2022 - )
Colour Time Printing + Digital Imaging is downtown Vancouver’s leading provider of printing and marketing services, established in 1978.
I was hired in August 2022 to be a part of the Digital Pre-Press team, which prepares all the files supplied by clients for print production, and a Graphic Designer for the CT Studio, their Graphic Design branch that provides branding and marketing services across all platforms.
Below I show some of examples of my work at Colour Time.
Vancouver Aquarium
Die-Cut Stickers
The Vancouver Aquarium requested design and print services for their Gift Shop stickers. These stickers represent animals they care for in their premisses.
They asked for designs that looked "cute" and playful to grab children's attention.

Starting with designs for the otter, clownfish, axolotl, octopus, jellyfish and sloth, they soon expanded their order to other animals: shark, sea lion, penguin,
orca and frog. The turtle and harbour seal were the last additions to their collection. The blue frog was illustrated by another member of our team.

The stickers are printed in matte litho label stock with soft touch lamination, kiss-cut and die-cut to shape.
The designs were later used for all sorts of merchandising goods, like t-shirts, socks, magnets, keychains, water bottles, mugs and so on.
The Aquarium's marketing team requested designs for the best selling animals characterized for Halloween and Christmas, for seasonal sales.
Die-Cut Foilboard Tickets
Vouchers randomly presented to members attending the Aquarium's theatre. Printed on silver foilboard with the use of white ink to create a nice contrast between matte and metallic elements.

JW Marriott
JW Marriott orders a wide variety of their materials, and they occasionally require design assistance for some specific needs. One project I developed in 2022 were these "mindfulness cards". They supplied the text and requested assistance with photo selections, and overall layouting. The final cards are printed in matte cardstock, with soft touch lamination and silver foil for the logo and text elements in the picture side of the cards.
Kahui-Tautoko
Kahui Tautoko is a consulting company that provides services to Indigenous organizations and companies, and requires design services for brochures, reports, banner stands, flyers and other sorts of printed assets. An educational project developed by the Tsleil-Waututh Nation and some banner stands are presented below.
Vancouver Children's Choir
The VCC requests service for their recitals. They supply drawings by the kids from the choir, related to the theme of the show, which have to be grouped together and turned into a cohesive artwork for a poster and brochure.
Business Cards
Many clients require very specific orders, the most popular of those being designing their personalized business cards or for their companies.
Card Holders
Racing Lines Group
Publicity materials for Formula 4 racing pilot Alex Berg.
Pull-Up Banners
Large format is very popular for decals, signages, and especially for pull-up banner stands. Most clients supply their own print-ready files, but some request design assistance. Some examples shown below.
